I enjoyed the first night most. We parents were taught some techniques of how to use the puppets, give them a speical voice and help the children get to know the puppets' characters. We had a chance to get into groups and try to use the puppets and at last performace a little puppet shows in groups. That was useful and interesting.
The second night we had a chance to act out a story in groups, but we did not get too much help from the teacher. As one of the mums said, we enjoyed ourselves in acting out the stories in groups, but we could not use this skill at home and we did not learn what we expected (storytelling skills) in the workshops.
On the third night, we had a chance to enjoy some drama games. How to choose storybooks. I liked the activity to use four still images to tell the story in groups. We parents had a lot of fun and could take some useful tips home.
Thank you very much for arranging these workshops for us.
